Clinical Psychologist Sinem Sarica completed her undergraduate education at Maltepe University's Psychology department with second-class honors, supported by volunteer work with street and working children and various institutional internships. During this period, she volunteered for 2 years at the Research Center for Street and Working Children (SOYAÇ), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özden Bademci, working with child and adolescent groups under supervision.
She completed her undergraduate internship at Erenköy Psychiatric Hospital, where she had the opportunity to observe different psychopathologies and various psychological test applications. She gained experience working with children and their parents at a private rehabilitation center. Additionally, she provided voluntary psychological support to adults at the Women's Counseling Center established by Kartal Municipality, conducting therapy sessions.
Sinem Sarica completed her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Okan University with high honors, taking Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-focused courses and advancing in this approach. Her master's thesis, titled "The Relationship Between Social Media Addiction and Social Appearance Anxiety and Eating Attitudes Among University Students," conducted under the supervision of Expert Dr. Özlem Mestçioğlu, addresses an important area regarding social media addiction.
In 2022, she completed a 6-hour training titled "Sitting in the Therapist's Chair" given by Clinical Psychologist Büşra Tarçalır at the Existential Academy and participated in existential supervision sessions. She is currently in her first year of the Basic Existential Analysis Training, which will last a total of 2 years, offered by the Existential Academy.
Sinem Sarica joined Rena Psychology in 2019, where she saw clients for 2 years under cognitive-oriented supervision provided by Clinical Psychologist Berat Arifoğlu. She later continued her supervision training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy under the guidance of ACT-certified Clinical Psychologist Sevilay Gül. She currently continues to receive existential therapy-oriented supervision from Clinical Psychologist Berçem Göktürk.
With all these experiences and training, Sinem Sarica continues her individual therapy sessions with adolescents and adults at Rena Psychology, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Existential Psychotherapy approaches.
