Migration & Adaptation
I'm here for you through the challenges of living abroad.
Why is migration difficult?
Moving to a new country is one of life's biggest changes. Language barriers, cultural differences, loss of social networks, and building a new identity can create significant psychological burden.
Feeling caught between "there" and "here," struggling with belonging — these are very common experiences for Turkish speakers living in Germany, Austria, France, or the Netherlands. Being able to express these feelings in your native language is an important part of the healing process.
Common challenges
- Identity and belonging confusion
- Cultural adaptation stress
- Loneliness and isolation
- Being away from family and loved ones
- Language barriers and communication difficulties
- Experiences of discrimination
- Career and status loss
- Children growing up between two cultures
How I work
As a Turkish person living in Germany myself, I personally experience the challenges of migration. This experience enables me to build deeper empathy with my clients.
With CBT, I address negative thought patterns related to migration, while through Existential Therapy, we explore deep themes like identity, belonging, and the search for meaning.
